Estimating Animal Abudance & Movement Patterns

How do we turn underwater visual census into estimate of fish abundance?

We collected observations of reef sharks using remote underwater video cameras, and developed an agent-based model to generate estimates of the density of blacktip reef sharks from the frequency of observations made using the video.
