Current Projects:
WAMSI: Western Australian Marine Science Institution, this like SRFME is a joint venture between CSIRO, the state of Western Australia and Universities. My role is similar to that in SRFME except I am primarily supporting the climate and ocean modelling and analysis related projects.
ROAM: Relocatable Ocean Atmosphere Model, this is a joint project between CSIRO, BoM, and RAN. It is part of a bigger "big picture" project called BLUElink> which aims to do ocean forcasting at the same level as weather forcasting.
Urchin: A WIKI for collaborative work on urchin distribution and populations connectivity. The WIKI is powered by TWiki.
DataCatalogue: A WIKI for listing readily available datasets in Floreat and elsewhere.
EMIT: Environmental Modelling Issue Tracker. Not a project really, but a way for CMR to track software issues. This is based on Mantis

Finished Projects:
SRFME: Strategic Research Fund for the Marine Environment, this is a joint venture between CSIRO and the WA Government to deal with marine issues on a scientific basis. I am part of the Integrated Modelling Group which deals primarily with integrating observational data and models designed to simulate ocean and coastal processes. The aim being, as seen by us, to deliver web-based products that can be used to manage the WA coast.
~Finished: July 2006
SERM2: Simple Estuarine Response Model 2, this project aimed to model the roughly 1000 classified estuaries around Australia. It was a follow on from the SERM project previously done by CSIRO Marine Research. The estuaries involved can be examined to some extent via the SERM2 website as well as at OzEstuaries, a partner website.
Finished: Aug. 2003
